Proposal of measures in the low voltage network for the implementation of renewable sources and electromobility according to scenarios NAP SG
Vojtěch, Jan ; Kučera, Michal (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The thesis analyzes legislative and strategic documents of the European Union and the Czech Republic which set targets in environment and energy area in 2030, alternatively in 2040. The individual chapter is dedicated to national action plans, where the most important is National Action Plan for Smart Grids setting specific requirements for future development of smart grids. The thesis contains analysis of distribution network in the municipality of Následovice and simplifying assumptions for the implementation of calculation. There are also introduced scenarios which have been used for the calculation of the distribution network with its results. Potential defects of the distribution network are commented with suggested solutions. The calculations were repeated to verify the solutions. Results are recapitulated in an individual chapter. Graphical outputs of the calculations can be found in the attachement.

Effectiveness and consequences of counterterrorism strategies in Pakistan: A critical appraisal of National Action Plan
Wahab, Fazal ; Aliyev, Huseyn (advisor) ; Aslan, Emil (referee)
This study explores and evaluates the effectiveness of the Counterterrorism (CT) policies of Pakistan, particularly, the National Action Plan (NAP) and military operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Tribal districts in the Pakistan-Afghanistan borderland. In this study, I argue that there is dearth of literature on the evaluation of effectiveness of CT policies particularly in the case of Pakistan. Using Eric Van Um & Daniela Pisoiu's Model of Effectiveness (2015), with concepts like Output effectiveness, Outcome effectiveness and Impact effectiveness, in this dissertation I argue that NAP and military operations in Tribal districts have been partially effective as it restored the government writ in different parts of the country and resulted in a steep decline in terrorist incidents. However, the plan is not highly effective as the threat of terrorism and extremism still exist. I also argue that the hard or military aspects of the NAP was executed soon after the plan was announced, however, to implement the soft aspects of the plan a lot still needs to be done. Nevertheless, CT polices of Pakistan failed to take into consideration the social and cultural aspects of Tribal districts. Therefore, I also contend that NAP and military operations in the Tribal districts resulted into socio-cultural...

Brodská, Jitka ; Scheu, Harald Christian (advisor) ; Tymofeyeva, Alla (referee)
Human Rights Impact of Business Activities of Private Entities ABSTRACT AND KEY WORDS Abstract: The thesis focuses on human rights impact of business activities of private entities. Within the UN context, it is the concept of "business and human rights" which addresses the issue. The thesis aims at depicting the current international legal framework relating to impact of business activities on human rights. The thesis examines the benefits of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the authoritative framework and the global standard of practice for preventing and addressing the risk of adverse impact of business activities on human rights. While the Guiding Principles do not constitute a legally binding document, they build on existing standards and include elements covered in international and domestic law. The three-pillar framework consists of the State duty to protect human rights, the corporate responsibility to respect human rights, the access to remedy for victims of business-related abuse. Almost seven years after their adoption, there are numerous examples of how these Guiding Principles have been integrated into the Governments' national action plans, policies and regulations, policies of international and regional organisations. The thesis describes few examples of national action...
